Learning Labs not sending out mail

We're having problems getting the Learning Labs to send out mail. This includes notifications of new messages in your groups as well as confirmation and password reset messages. Something's up with how mail leaves our server and goes through KU.

If you're waiting on a confirmation just e-mail me at help@stratepedia.org and I will confirm your account manually. If you need help with a password, e-mail me from the e-mail account you used to register and I'll help you get moving.

Sorry for the inconvenience. E-mail is actually a complicated, brittle system. Finding what's causing a problem can be a proverbial needle in a haystack.

Learning Labs Guidebook now available

Amber and I have completed the first edition of the Learning Labs Guidebook. This step-by-step guide to getting things done in the Learning Labs, from setting up an account to sharing information in a database--is available online at http://guides.stratepedia.org/doku.php?id=learning_labs_guidebook.

The Learning Labs Guidebook features plenty of screen captures and is keyword searchable and cross-referenced, making it easy to follow along from task to task. If you need a printed version just go to File -> Print as you would any web page to automatically get a clean, printer-friendly version.

Since the Learning Labs Guidebook is online we'll be making changes regularly as the Learning Labs are enhanced or as clarification is needed. Click the Recent Changes button to see what's new, or track changes via RSS. I’m happy to share that StrateReaders has joined us in the Stratepedia Learning Labs! Visit their new digs to check out what’s going on.

No account is required to visit the site or read the conversations. If you already have an account on the Learning Labs (for example, if you’ve been working with a CLC project using the site) log in as usual and select the “Enroll me in this course” option.

New to the Learning Labs? That’s OK, too. Fill out the short account form and watch for the confirmation e-mail, then click the “Enroll me in this course” link in the Stratereaders “course.” Feel free to e-mail me if you have any questions about getting started. (We've also got some videos and images to help you through this process.)

Brief interruption in Learning Labs this evening
